Every seat and cover goes through a weight test and an open/close cycle test. Every WC pan is checked for odour leakage before it leaves the line.
A fully glazed body with an anti-bacterial finish — inside the trapway too, where cheaper castings leave raw ceramic and stains take hold.
Rimless and syphonic flushing move 3 to 4.5 litres around the whole bowl. Our 1-litre urinal does the job on a single litre.

A high standing water level and a syphon that pulls rather than pushes. Quieter, and it does not leave marks.
Damped hinges on seat and cover. No slam at 2 a.m., and the hinge survives the ten-thousandth close.
A 12–14 mm wall on the table-top range. It reads as delicate; the vitreous body underneath is not.
